Mid day Babble

Hello my readers, and yes I am directing that at all two of you! Today is a slow day at work with no weddings to occupy my time. So many crazy weddings have gone by though and I just haven't taken the time to tell you about them! I did come to realize, from my latest post, it's best to let the situation go by and relax for a moment before delving into a blog. Although it felt good to vent, I will admit myself, it wasn't very entertaining to read.

I did have a wedding last night. It went fairly smooth with no crazy drama to report. It is one that I am a bit pleased to be rid of though. I have so many weddings where the Mother plans the entire event and the bride and groom have no say. It amazes me that they cannot do any of this on their own, at their age. So, it’s really the mother I am glad to be done within yesterday's case. I have come to realize throughout my (20 something) years of existence, I have been giving humanity way too much credit. I never considered myself to be one of the smarter people on this grand earth but holy shit people are stupid! First of all, when you request a packet of information (and in return it is sent you), it is best to actually READ the packet before sending email after email of questions. Here’s the thing, I book about 100 weddings a year and our particular venue does a total of about 400 a year. We actually took all of our knowledge and information on weddings and put it in the packet! Do you understand my point here? Also, when somebody sends you something that requires a signature, please do not type your name on it and email it back. Have you never had to sign anything before? Is this not common knowledge? SIGNATURE not Typeature!

I’ve mentioned before in previous posts just a couple examples of the kind of idiotic questions we get asked on a daily/weekly basis. I will work on taking note of them a bit better and put it in a blog; like the mass emails that get sent out like “Funny things kids say” or “Dumb things men do”. (I feel comfortable adding that last one in since the probability of a man reading this blog is presumably less than slim).
