Returning to the world
So, my sister and her husband just came to visit earlier this week. (Yes my sister, I do realize you and mom are my only readers). We had a lot of fun. However, an unruly episode of fun + the beach (and some canned beer)= all systems down in the electrical department. Yup, the cellphone, digital camera and iPod lost their lives at sea that day. I've been phoneless now for a almost a week and on top of that our internet and cable have been shut off. (Apparently, our cable company likes to be paid. Maybe those new shoes weren't all as necessary to buy as they seemed to be...) When I go home from work I am COMPLETELY shut off from the world. It's not all that bad without the phone but I feel extremely disconnected without my email. I couldn't take it anymore so I've ventured into work on my day off. I had an aching daymare of missing email after email from brides and groomzillas freaking out with my lack of speedy response. You'd be amazed! I always set my email and voicemail to state that I am out for two days for MY WEEKEND so that everyone is well aware. Yet still, their minute questions are never anything that can wait. Is it really necessary to call my cellphone, on my day off, to ask what kind of vendor meal we serve? Really, can you not let me be for just two days!?
